YLW Events is Indigenous-founded. Our role is coordination, making sure the right people lead the right moments at your event. We facilitate the relationship with local Bands and Knowledge Keepers. We work within the protocols of the territory you're on. We handle the logistics so the cultural work can be done with care.

We do not deliver the welcome ourselves. We facilitate the relationship with Elders and Knowledge Keepers whose place it is to lead. We handle the producer-side logistics — honoraria, travel, scheduling, audience preparation — so the cultural work can be done with care.
Every Nation has its own protocols. We work within the protocols of the territory your event is on. If we are unsure, we ask — and we wait for the answer.
If an engagement is not appropriate, the timing is wrong, or the right relationships are not in place, we will say so. The integrity of the practice matters more than the booking.

As much as possible. Knowledge Keepers and Elders are not "booked" — they are invited. Inviting respectfully takes time.
Yes — we advise on appropriate honoraria, gifts, and protocol, and we coordinate the logistics so the engagement is honourable to everyone involved.
Sometimes. A meaningful land acknowledgment, delivered with research and intention, is more respectful than a performative welcome that the situation does not call for. We help you choose what fits.
