An Indigenous professional rooted in Kelowna, BC, Candice has built her career producing corporate events that executives remember and competitors quietly try to copy. She has spent years cultivating the venue, vendor, and operational relationships across the Okanagan that make YLW Events distinct.
No. YLW Events is corporate-only. We do not produce weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, sweet sixteens, funerals, or any personal celebration. The focus is the point — we built the company specifically to serve corporate clients with the operational discipline they require.
Kelowna is our home, and we produce events across the entire Okanagan corridor: Vernon, Lake Country, West Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Naramata, Penticton, Oliver, and Osoyoos.
Yes. We regularly produce destination events in Vancouver, Whistler, Calgary, and Toronto. Corporate events don't have borders. If your event takes us further afield, we go.

For peak-season events (June through September), 6 months ahead is ideal for the best venues. Shoulder seasons (April-May, October) work comfortably with 3 months notice. Tighter timelines under 6 weeks have been handled — call to discuss what is possible.
Yes. YLW Events is Indigenous-founded by Candice Melwicks. We approach our work — including Indigenous welcoming and cultural protocol engagements — with the relationships and respect that come from being part of this community.
